چکیده

This study reports on the cosmogenic 36Cl dating of two normal fault scarps in western Turkey, that Manast?r and Mug?rtepe faults, beyond existing historical records. These faults are elements Manisa Fault Zone (MFZ) seismically active Gediz Graben. Our modeling revealed underwent at least surface ruptures 3.5 ± 0.9 ka 2.0 0.5 ka, with vertical displacements 3.3 m 3.6 m, respectively. An event 6.5 1.6 a displacement 2.7 0.4 was reconstructed fault. We attribute these earthquakes to recurring MFZ ruptures, when also investigated slipped. calculated average slip rates 1.9 0.3 mm yr?1 for

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...

Results of Scanning for Diabetes, Obesity and Blood Pressure: A Sample from Manisa in Western Turkey

In WHO rankings, diabetes has been recognized as being in the group of rapidly increasing epidemiological diseases [1]. It was found that there were 400 million adult diabetics in the world in 2015, and this number is predicted to rise to over 640 million by 2040. Seventy-five percent of diabetics in the world live in medium and low income countries, and five million people in the world die of ...

Measurement of long-term denudation rates in carbonate landscapes using in situ-produced 36Cl cosmogenic nuclide

ecent progresses have been made in the quantification of denudation of eroding landscapes and its links with topography. Despite these advances, data is still sparse in carbonate terrain, which covers a significant part of the Earth’s surface. We can now measure in situ-produced cosmogenic nuclides concentrations in various near-surface materials, allowing accurate quantification of the rates o...
